About First Tee - West Michigan
First Tee – West Michigan is a youth development organization that helps kids build character and life skills through the game of golf. Programs combine activity-based learning with high-quality mentoring to help students grow on and off the course. The West Michigan chapter serves students across Grand Rapids, Holland, Kalamazoo, and Muskegon.
First Tee partners with local schools, community groups, and families to make golf more accessible and inclusive for young people. Through after-school programs, on-course learning, and supportive mentorship, participants build confidence, perseverance, and healthy relationships within a positive, encouraging environment.
This year, First Tee – West Michigan launched a new partnership in Holland with support from Goal Sports. Through this collaboration, First Tee programming is offered at local Holland churches. Goal Sports generously funds the program, helping First Tee reach more kids, remove financial barriers, and create a meaningful experience for youth and families in the Holland community. Through this special partnership with Goal Sports, First Tee is able to create spaces where students are introduced to golf, valuable life skills, and Bible teaching.
